The etching by Franz Anatol Wyss from 1970, which is shown on the front page, has been hanging on the wall above my bed for more than forty years. The duality between man and machine has become a symbol for me in this picture and also a memento. In an impressive way, Wyss succeeds in putting a complex problem succinctly on paper. I wrote Phantasma III in 2013 in gratitude for Franz Anatol Wyss and appropriated it for him. In these pieces, as in the two Phantasms from 2011, I musically deal with the artist's profound and often also bizarre world of images. Roger Faedi
