Rudolf Jaggi(1940–2015)

After completing the teacher training seminar, he studied music at the local conservatory and university. Degrees in school music and music theory (Dr. Max Zulauf, Luc Balmer). Further composition studies at the Music Academy Basel (Robert Suter). Since 1968 active in Basel as a composer, choirmaster and lecturer at the Pedagogical Institute. Compositions: Piano and organ pieces, chamber music, orchestral works, oratorios, incidental music for theatre. Besides choral works in partly traditional style. Further activities: Egyptology, Jazz.
